How do I play in jDL?
You need to complete 3 steps to be able to compete in the joinDOTA League:
1. Register an account on joinDOTA.com
First of all, you have to register on our website. You can do that on the top right corner of our website. Simply choose a nickname and password and you're good to go.
2. Add your SteamID to your account
You can add your SteamID in the User Center. Click on the "Game Accounts" icon in the bottom left corner and you'll see a screen where you can add your ID.
3. Join or create a team
Once you completed the registration you need to be a member of a team in order to participate. If one of your friends already created a team, you can simply join that team. Go to "My teams" in the User Center. Here you can search for a team - simply enter your friend's team's name and join it by typing in the team password your mate has provided it to you.
Another way to participate is to create your own team. Again, go to "My teams", click "Create Team" and enter all details in the form. Once you have done that, tell your friends about it by providing them the team name and password.
Depending on where you want to play, you need to navigate to one of our three regions:
How do I sign up for jDL?
It is important to note that while you can be a member of several teams, you may only participate with one team per season. This means if more than one of your teams have signed up for the league, you need to choose carefully for which of these teams you want to confirm your participation.
As leader or captain of your team you can now sign up for the joinDOTA League by clicking the respective button on the League page.
Confirm your participation
If you are a regular member of a team, please ask your leader or captain to sign up the team. After that, at least 5 members of your team have to confirm their participation to form a complete roster and complete the sign up.
Additionally, your team has the option to sign up for the Calibration Phase to improve your seeding for the upcoming season. Click here to learn all about the Calibration Phase in detail.
