Blizzy loses debut with Gambit Esports against B8

AS Monaco Gambit announce new line-up last-minute and lose first match against B8. Gambit Esports announced their complete new line-up just hours before playing the qualifier for the DPC21: S1 - CIS Upper Division. Surprisingly, Evgeniy 'Blizzy' Ree joined the squad on Friday, as Gambit announced on Twitter. He replaces Alexandr 'Accell' Litvinenko. The latter only got on board alongside Arslan 'xannii' Shadzhanov recently.

An unsuccessful debut

In the Closed Qualifer for the Upper Division of the CIS DPC season, Gambit met Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin's squad in Round 1. Although they deliverd a tough match to B8, they couldn't overcome the TI1 champion's team in this best-of-three.

As a result, the new Gambit outfit find themselves already in the Lower Bracket of the qualifier, facing elimination. To stay in the run for the Upper Division, they have to prevail over Winstrike next. Winstrike lost to NoTechies, the squad of Vladislav 'Crystallize' Krystanek and Aleksey 'Solo' Berezin.
