Danish legend Rasmus 'rASmus' Fillipsen and his fellow countryman Marcus 'Ace' Hoelgaard have joined a new team to claim one of the coveted spots in the European DPC season. Misery and Ace are united again! As Hellbear Smashers they are going to play the upcoming Closed Qualifiers for the DPC21: S1 - EU Upper Division. Ex-Chaos Esports Club manager Robson 'TeaGuvnor' Merritt revealed on Twitter that he is going to support the team as a coach.

The two Dota icons are joined by two Germans and a Russian. Daniel 'Stormstormer' Schoetzau is a 10k player who recently played with Neta '33' Shapira and Adrian 'Fata' Trinks on mudgolems in EPIC League: Division 2. He will occupy position 2 for the Smashers.

The line-up will be completed by Georgi 'Gilgir' Svistunov and Erik 'tOfu' Engel on position 4 and 5 respectively.



Both Misery and Ace last played on 5 men with the Swedes Rasmus 'Chessie' Blomdin, Andreas 'Xibbe' Ragnemalm and Johan 'pieliedie' Åström. The two Danes share quite a lot of recent history, as they were already together for Cloud9's squad last year.

Between them, the two pros have played for many well-known organisations such as Team Secret, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Evil Geniuses. While Ace will remain on position 1 which made him famous on both Secret and NiP, we are going to see Misery on position 3. Since leaving Secret he has been more of a support player, which makes it very interesting to see how he'll do on the offlane.
