BLAST announce Bounty Hunt event with six world class teams from EU

Tournament organiser BLAST Premier enters the realm of competitive Dota! The BLAST Bounty Hunt will take part from 9 to 13 June, featuring a dynamic $145,000 prize pool and six European top teams. BLAST is well-known in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene, but they have not yet been part of the Dota world – until now. The organiser created a new Twitter account where they announced the BLAST Bounty Hunt this Monday.

  • All games best-of-three
  • Grand Finals best-of-five
  • Teams will seed each other and play in double elimination brackets to reach the final two
  • Seeds 3-6 will advance to the playoff with the winners moving on to play seeds 1-2 for a place in the final


A dynamic prize pool with bounties



The Bounty Hunt also has some twists regarding the prize money. In every match, there is extra bonus money available that the teams can bank. Teams can add money to their bank thanks to winning and collecting bonuses.

BLAST explains that teams start with $15,000. From this amount, 40 percent of their bounty is up for grabs every time they compete against each other. On top of that $45,000 of additional Bounties can be won along the way. The best scenario for a team can result in winning a total of up $96,000, including all additional bounties.

So far, there is no information about the bounties. Fans will be included in the process, as there will be a special fan vote where viewers can chose the bounties.

There will also be a prediciton game for fans where they can guess the winners of matches, number of bounties collected and more. Winner of the prediction game will be awarded with $5,000.
