Ninjas in Pyjamas

Ninjas in Pyjamas definitely had a tough start in the DPC: except for Peter 'ppd' Dager not a single player from last season was still part of the European organisation. After role swapping and roster changes they finally seem to have a structure that works for them.

Saahil 'Universe' Arora moved from offlane to position 4 and they signed Nikita 'Daxak' Kuzmin and Rodrigo 'Lelis' Santos to replace Nico 'Gunnar' Lopez and Malthe 'Biver' Winther.

They finished third in the toughest region of world placing better than Team Liquid, Nigma and Alliance. However, their LAN performance is still not satisfying: except for DreamLeague Season 12 they never made it past the first round of a tourmanent.

Natus Vincere

We can finally say: Natus Vincere are back! The Ukrainian powerhouse bested several strong squads from their region to qualify for the Major. By signing former Virtus.pro star Pavel '9pasha' Khvastunov Na'vi seem to have gained more flexibility, but also the right mindset to close out nerve-wracking games.

Na'Vi definitely have the potential to outplay some of the top teams at the Major, but they don't belong to the favourites yet. It will take at least one or two more Majors until they could aim for more than a top 10 placement. Maybe a Major in front of their homecrowd like EPICENTER Major 2020 would be the right opportunity.

beastcoast

Two Majors and twice in the top 8 – beastcoast provedthat they're a threat to so called top teams at the Major in Leipzig . They defeated Minor champion Nigma, although they had to dispense Adrian 'Wisper' Cesperes due to health issues.

In Los Angeles the squad is reunited and aiming for another top 8 position. They're clearly the best squad from South America and in NA they can show that they're a undisputable top 10 team.

Team Aster

An 11-1 run is all we actually need to say about Team Aster. Xu 'BurNIng' Zhilei's team finally lived up to the expectations of the Chinese community. It seems like it was the right call to recruit Song 'Sccc' Chun and move him to the carry position.

Not a single team was able to endanger Aster at the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor #3. One thing that could stop them: Traveling right after the Minor to North America is stressful and next to jet lag teams had enough time to figure Aster's strategy out.

Only two more tiers remain. Next up are the Glorious Avengers.
