It's probably been the toughest season for Virtus.pro since the start of the Major Circuit in 2015. Every season they were considered a top favourite for the title — except for this year. After another crushing result at The International 2019 the team decided to switch things a bit: only Vladimir 'No[o]ne' Minenko and Aleksey 'Solo' Berezin stayed, three new players came for the fresh start.

Recruiting Ukrainian star Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok was a huge deal for the CIS organisation, but so far the team with two the youngsters, Vitalie 'Save-' Melnic and Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko, is still searching for their new playstyle.

Natus Vincere

Natus Vincere are trying to take over the lead in the CIS region from VP. The Ukrainian organisation was the number one for a long time, but lost their top status eventually. With Pavel '9pasha' Khvastunov they've signed one of the VP veterans who probably wouldn't mind beating his former squad.

Natus Vincere aren't good enough to aim for a Major trophy, but at least the pit has been opened for the throne of Eastern Europe.

beastcoast, on the other hand, finally reached the top of their region: the Peruvian squad is without doubt the best team of South America. They made it into the top eight of MDL Chengdu Major and came even close to go further.

However, there is one factor that could stop them from another miracle run. Adrian 'Wisper' Cesperes can't attend the event because of health issues. This is why the team brought Rodrigo 'Lelis' Santos into the line-up. The Brazilian will do his best to replace the Bolivian player.

Fnatic surrounding SEA veteran Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang want to be the second team of their region to win a Major.

One of the biggest factors for Fnatic could be actually their coach: Lee 'SunBhie' Jeongjae helped Team Secret winning a lot of trophies throughout the years. He could help Fnatic to find back to a good form.
