Alliance step in for Geek Fam at ESL One Hamburg

After an amazing run at the ESL One Hamburg 2019 Southeast Asia Qualifiers, Geek Fam announced earlier today, that they will not be able to play in Hamburg. Their replacement has been found quickly – and it does not come from the SEA scene. Geek Fam dropped only one map during the qualifiers, earning their spot at the third ESL One Hamburg. But the visa issues were once again an insuperable obstacle, giving the team no chance to start their journey to Germany.

Hey Fam! As you all know, we're really grateful to be able to qualify for ESL One Hamburg 2019 recently.

The ESL already found a solution to fill the gap.Alliance join the line-up of challengers. Now there is only one participant missing, despite the tournament starting next friday, on 25th October. ForAdrian 'Fata' Trinks it will be the sixth time he plays at a German ESL in front of his home crowd. The squad gathered attention at the Chengdu 2019: Europe Qualifier, where newcomer Nikolay 'Nikobaby' Nikolov delivered a convincing performance. They also beat the new Team Liquid, who they will also face at ESL One.

The ESL further explained they could not invite another SEA roster, because it would not be possible to obtain a visa in such a short time. Alliance's players all have an Europen citizenship, therefore not causing any problems with visa regulations. Geek Fam are currently working hard on that matter to secure their participation in the USA for the upcomingDOTA Summit 11.
