Leaderboard rankings: Maybe and Ame rule Europe

posted by ,
The Dota 2 community is calm while the pros get ready for the Starladder Minor and the EPICENTER Major. Which means it's time to take a look at the MMR leaderboards and see which players are pubbing hardest. The MMR World Leaderboards in Dota 2 are divided into four regions—Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia and China. The Dota 2 Pro Circuit considers South America and CIS as distinct regions, but for MMR, they are included in Americas and Europe respectively.

Interestingly, the Chinese are the ones ruling the Europe Leaderboard as Yao 'Somnus' Lu and Wang Chun 'Ame' Yu take the one and two spots. Virtus.pro's midlaner Vladimir 'No[o]ne' Minenko is close behind them, meaning all of the top three are not actually from Europe.

There are only four literal Europeans in the top 10: Martin 'Saksa' Sazdov, Maroun 'Gh' Merhej, Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi, and Linus 'Limmp' Blomdin. North American carry Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev snuck his way into Europe's best.
