15,000 DPC point were distributed among the participants of the MDL Disneyland Paris Major last weekend. As there is only one Major to go, we are approaching the critical phase of the TI qualification. Eight out of twelve have already been secured. Which teams are going to take the last four? After the conclusion of the epic tournament in Paris, there is only one Major to go, the EPICENTER Major. Team Secret occupy the first place in the DPC ranking at 14,250 points, followed by Virtus.pro (11,400). Thanks to their strong performance in Disneyland which was rewarded with a second place finish, also Team Liquid managed to overcome their weak period qualify for The International 2019.

Besides Vici Gaming, Evil Geniuses, PSG.LGD, and Fnatic, the Ninjas in Pyjamas were able to make it to the Dota 2 World Championship. Those 900 points they earned at the Major in Paris turned out to be their saving grace.

Showdown at EPICENTER

Apart from the StarLadder Ukraine Minor, which is going to distribute meagre 500 Circuit points overall, the EPICENTER Major is the last chance to secure one of the four remaining spots at TI. The threshold is at 2,041 points. If any team reaches this amount of points, it will be qualified for the mega event.

Currently, OG and Keen Gaming are placed 9th and 10th in the ranking. The amount of points (948 and 1,140) is, however, by no means enough for a guaranteed qualification. To guarantee their TI participation, both teams have to finish at least 4th place at EPICENTER. Otherwise, they have to hope that their competitors don’t make it too far at the Major.

Before either of those teams can collect more DPC points, they have to make it through their regional closed qualifiers. The current world champions of OG have to take on teams such as Alliance, Team Liquid and Team Secret before they can fight for their TI spot in Moscow. Keen Gaming has a similarly difficult qualification with Vici Gaming and PSG.LGD in their group.

Who do you think will make it to The International? And who is your favourite among those who have already made it?
