Tier 1 - Shining Favourites

Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses - or how to place third almost every time. They finished as the third best team at The International 2018, The Kuala Lumpur Major and The Chongqing Major. Only DreamLeague Season 11 was a disappointment for the North American squad with a 7th-8th place.

Tal 'Fly' Aizik and his team-mates proved several times this season that they have the quality to beat every team. They only need to keep this perfomance up until the Grand Finals.

Vici Gaming

Vici Gaming is the only team that won a Minor and the following Major including traveling all around the world in less than a week. Zhang 'Eurus' Chengjun and his team-mates are the pride of China right now and their best shot to win the next TI in Shanghai.

They are also the first Chinese team to qualify for TI9 and surpassed Evil Geniuses in the DPC ranking. We'll see whether Vici Gaming can maintain their form of the last round or whether they will lose their top spot in the world and China to their competitors.

Team Secret

Team Secret is not only the best team in Europe, but the biggest rival of Virtus.pro. Both teams are competing for the top spot in the Dota 2 Pro Circuit right now. Secret competed in two Major Grand Finals and won The Chongqing Major. They always placed top four this season - in every LAN competition.

Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov formed a top-level team including probably the best player in the world: Secret's offlaner Ludwig 'zai' Wåhlberg displays once again that he and Puppey have a perfect synergy. On top of that Secret has a top level player on every other position.

Virtus.pro

If you compare Secret's success of the last couple months with any team in Dota 2, only one team is better: Virtus.pro. The Russian squad has already been the number one since the start of the first DPC two years ago. They finished first in last seasons DPC and are in first place this season - they made it into every single Major Grand Finals in this DPC.

Aleksey 'Solo' Berezin and his team-mates are an incredible squad that is not only aiming for the next Major title, but finally for their first TI victory as well.
