Fnatic is the best team from South-east Asia this season, thanks to Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang and Anucha 'Jabz' Jirawong who joined them after TI8. They developed a strong playstyle combining the powers of the old Mineski duo and the other three players.

Especially Abed 'Abed' Yusop has been stepping up his game over the last couple of months. He's finally able to reach the next level and overcome the status as a top talent and bekome more than just a top talent.

We're still waiting for a SEA team to win a Major this season and Fnatic has the best chance to make that dream for their fans come true. At least a qualification for TI9 could be an easier step for now: they'll just need 241 points to qualify.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

Ninjas in Pyjamas disappointed in the European qualifier for the Major. They didn't even make it in the top four of their region, but lost even against The Final Tribe in the first round of the Lower Bracket.

In the end, they made up for their mistake and qualified for the Major on a tough road: NiP is the reigning Minor champion. Peter 'ppd' Dager proved that he's still one of the best drafters in the world. They stomped every team in the playoffs of the Dota PIT Minor to make it to Paris. We'll see if they can keep this level against even better teams now.

PSG.LGD

Yao 'Somnus' Lu is back from his honeymoon and PSG.LGD is not only aiming for their first Major victory, but for the first place in China. Right now Vici Gaming is considered to be the best team in their region, but PSG.LGD definitely has the skill to surpass them again.

The Chinese team is close to the qualification for The International 2019. They're ranked in 5th place right now and need 901 points. That means they need to make it into the top four of the Major in Paris.

Team Liquid

Team Liquid can be considered as one of the best teams of all time. They set many records and lifted the Aegis in 2017. Kuro S. 'KuroKy' Takhasomi and his team-mates have been one of the best teams in the world since 2016 - and that hasn't change. They have stars on every position.

However, this season is a bit of a disappointment for the European side. They're still looking for that Major victory, but have had to fight with a lot of different issues this season. Paris could be a turning point: either Liquid finally closes the gap to the top three in the world or they'll have a hard time to qualify for The International 2019.

Only four more teams are left. Let's move on to the Shining Favourites.
