They lost their Upper Bracket match against Vici Gaming, but stomped already Infamous in the Lower Bracket. In this round Clinton 'Fear' Loomis and his new team-mates couldn't stop the Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov's team.
Both games combined took barely longer than one hour - and it was again Ludwig 'zai' Wåhlberg who had a sensational performance in the offlane. It's not a surprise that people call him the best player in the world right now. On top of that, Michał 'Nisha' Jankowski had an astonishing day: In both games combined he died twice and killed 26 heroes.
Nisha second ultra kill in the series, will you finally get it in the next series!?

The most epic battle of the Major casted by MATUMBAMAN
However, the second series was probably the highlight of the DreamLeague Season 11 Major - at least for now. Virtus.pro and Evil Geniuses, two top four teams, both lost their first match in the Upper Bracket and were now fighting for elimination against each other.
On top of that, Team Liquid's carry Lasse 'Matumbaman' Urpalainen was not only the co-caster of this series, but also the interviewer:
We had @LiquidMATUMBA chat to @BuLbaDotA_ for a pre-game interview

Virtus.pro had a better start in the first game with a strong laning phase, but Evil Geniuses knew perfectly how to turn that game with one important team fight. The best player of this series was the Canadian carry Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev who finished the game with nine kills and only one death.

The wolves were at VP's door, and they closed out the game! We go up 1-0 in the series thanks to Artour's carry.
Draft 2 up soon. pic.twitter.com/IOsb3Hy7Hz
The second game was a pure highlight show! Both teams had their moments and the game lasted for more than an hour. On top of that, the teams had more than 25 kills in that game each. The best carry in that match was Roman 'RAMZEs' Kushnarev. The Russian youngster killed 16 of Evil Geniuses' heroes and died only four times. However, it wasn't as obvious as RAMZES666 statistics might suggest.
Here's a 2 minute clip of amazing dota 2 for you. What is happening?! @virtuspro @evilgeniuses

After a slow start Evil Geniuses took the advantage and had a 13k gold lead, but this long team fight brought VP back in the game. The CIS squad tied the series and we got ourselves a third game.
In the last game, VP was the better team and kicked EG out. The North American squad therefore won't make it into the top 3 of the third Major in a row. The Russians will face the loser of the Chinese duel between PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming.
