Anathan 'ana' Pham is back in action. However, the TI8 champion is not playing for OG, but for Team Australia at WESG 2018. The biggest surprise is that ana is not playing on the carry position, but the position four support role. Meanwhile, James 'XemistrY' Lee and Seon-Yeob 'QO' Kim are playing mid and hard carry for Team Australia.

Their first best-of-two series at WESG 2018 was already a success: the Australians won the second game against their toughest opponent, Keen Gaming, around Hu 'Kaka' Liangzhi and Wang 'Old chicken' Zhiyong.

ana played Skywrath Mage in the second game of the series and actually managed to get 8 kills. However, Team Australia's best player was Kim 'Velo' Taesung who, despite being the offlaner, had the best K/D-ratio in his team in that series.

Two squads with Virtus.pro players have no problems

Team Ukraine with Virtus.pro's mid laner Vladimir 'No[o]ne' Minenko also had a good start to the tournament. The Ukrainian squad won their first two matches. They even beat EHOME convincingly with a 2-0.

The rest of the VP squad is playing under the name White-Off in Group C. They had to replace their famous mid laner and chose Andrey 'Afoninje' Afonin from Gambit Esports for that role. The Russian will even miss playing the Minor with his team because of WESG 2018. White-Off won their first series against the North Americans from beastcoast.

Can the favourites keep up the pace for the rest of the day?
