EG beat the curse, but Liquid win their first LAN tournament this year

Team Liquid won Mars Media Dota 2 League: Macau 2019 by beating Evil Geniuses in the Grand Finals of the tournament. Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi finally had the chance to prove this season on the big stage that he's still one of the best players in the world.

It was Team Liquid's third tournament of the season. However, Miracle- didn't travel with his team to The Chongqing Major because of personal issues. At Mars Media Dota 2 League: Macau 2019 he was granted with the MVP title.

Liquid with the perfect start

Kuro S. 'KuroKy' Takhasomi and his team didn't show any flaws during the whole tournament. They finished first in the group and beat Royal Never Give Up and Evil Geniuses with 2-0 to make it to the Grand Finals.

The North American team had to play against Virtus.pro in the Lower Bracket and actually beat the CIS super team to break their own curse. They finished third at The International 2018, The Kuala Lumpur Major and The Chongqing Major. By making it to the Grand Finals they reached the top 2 in Macau.

However, in the Grand Finals Liquid proved again that they were the best team this weekend. They finished the first two games in less than 45 minutes, before losing one game to EG. Liquid wasn't prepared in the third draftand couldn't stop EG. The fourth game went to the favour of Liquid again and they beat EG with 3-1.
