OG and Alliance fought in the Grand Finals of the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor qualifer for the only European ticket to Kiev. In the end, Johan 'BigDaddyN0tail' Sundstein and his teammates emerged victorious. Game one was a demonstration of power: 36 to 9 kills, Topias 'Topson' Taavitsainen demolishing Alliance on Ember with an incredible statistic of 17/0/10 and Alliance's mid lane carry Max 'Qojqva' Broecker not having a single kill. OG absolutely destroyed their opponents in the first game.

Topson had another incredible day. He sniped the courier before the actual game even had started:

Topson's Ember is world-class

Because of that strong performance, OG decided to pick Ember Spirit a second time for their mid laner - and he played it perfectly. He initiated ganks in every lane and dealt huge damage to their opponents while being pretty much not catchable for Alliance's carry.

On top of that, Topson distracted the Swedish team perfectly and gave OG's youngster Igor 'ILTW' Filatov enough space to farm with his Troll Warlord. Although the kill difference was not that huge after 12 minutes, Alliance needed a good turnover to find a way back into the game.

Alliance stopped Topson in this fight, but OG still controlled the events and killed enough opponents to equalize the gold they lost due to Topson's death. The following minutes underlined OG's safe playstyle: Topson and ILTW were unkillable and 23 minutes into the game, OG's gold lead was around 10.000.

The first high ground fight was a huge success. They destroyed the bot barracks and retreated perfectly to go for another Roshan - Alliance called 'GG' three minutes later because they couldn't defend their base.

How do you stop ILTW on Troll?

So far, so good: OG won both games easily and only needed one more win to end the best-of-five series. Their Swedish opponents had a good start, but the team fight potential with Monkey King, Troll Warlord, Invoker and Dark Seer was too much for Alliance to handle.

OG pushed the lanes, destroyed towers and killed every hero in their way. The first high ground tower was destroyed after 21 minutes. Only two minutes later, the Ancient fell as well.

Right now, seven of the eight participants for the StarLadder ImbaTV Minor are known. Besides OG, AS Monaco Gambit, Old But Gold, test 123, Royal Never Give Up, Vici Gaming and BOOM Esports also qualified for the tournament. The last team will be from South America.

The Minor in Kiev stars on March 7 and ends on March 10. The winner qualifies for the DreamLeague Season 11, the third Major of the current DPC season.

How do you like OG's playstyle? Is ILTW the right carry for the team?
