However, Dendi and his team-mates were didn't win the series against Lotac and were sent to the Lower Bracket where they had to play against Detonator.
The Filipino team surrounding TI8 participant Samson E. 'SamH' Hidalgo already beat Tigers in the second open qualifier for the DreamLeague Season 11 Major and didn't make a stop this time - but it was a close series.
In Game one it was Ryan Jay 'raging-potato' Qui with a top-level performance that kept Detonator in the lead. He had a good day with Lifestealer and just died twice which gave Tigers a hard time in the late game, although Dendi won the mid lane with Rubick.
The second game was shaped by an all-star performance of the Ukrainian veteran: he killed eleven heroes, assisted in 15 kills and didn't die a single time - he destroyed Detonator single-handedly with Ember Spirit. Dendi felt so good on this hero that Tigers decided to draft him the same hero again, but Detonator was better prepared this time and played with Puck in the middle.
They countered Dendi and destroyed Tigers in the third game. This means Tigers won't participate in the third Minor, while Detonator still has the chance to get the SEA slot. However, they need to beat Lotac and BOOM ID to secure their first DPC event.
Can Detonator go all the way to the Minor?
