EG without mid lane star SumaiL – CCnC will replace him in Macau

Star mid laner Sumail 'SumaiL' Syed Hassan will not participate at MDL Macau for health reasons. Quinn 'CCnC' Callahan, who substituted for him in ESL One in Hamburg will stand-in again. Can he be a worthy substitution in the top team clash of Macau? Less than two weeks before the best teams in the world clash at Mars Media Dota 2 League: Macau 2019, the Evil Geniuses announced a surprising change for the tournament. Their mid lane star SumaiL will not participate for health reasons.

He is given some "much needed" time off to recharge from the stress caused by the qualifiers and the increased schedule of the DPC Season. Standing in for him will be CCnC who already did so when SumaiL faced visa issues for ESL One Hamburg in 2018 where they placed 5th with the North American pro player.

CCnC who played for paiN X before the team disbanded will play with faZe in the qualifiers for the NA Minor this weekend where he will face some of his former teammates in their new team test 123.

The MDL Macau can be an important proving ground for the mid laner, as only top teams like Virtus.pro, Team Liquid or PSG.LGD are competing. For EG's next big step towards qualifying for The International 2019, the DreamLeague Season 11 Major in Stockholm, SumaiL will be back refreshed and ready to take back his place in the team.
