Liquid continue to be out of sorts
It’s not been the easiest of seasons so far for TI7 champions Team Liquid. First they missed out on qualification for The Kuala Lumpur Major, then had to use stand-in Roman 'rmN' Paley for the DreamLeague Minor qualifiers, then withdrew from the event completely.
Any rust the team may have had in their first DPC showing of the year weren’t apparent in topping Group C. However, against Secret they were well and truly outclassed.
#GGWP Team Secret! The majors just starting and we'll fight our way back from the lower bracket!

In both their matches Liquid didn’t once hold the net worth lead, while they were restricted to just 20 kills across the two — less in total than Secret managed in either game.
It was young Polish carry Michał 'Nisha' Jankowski who led the way with a perfect-KDA Game 1 on Morphling, while Yeik Nai 'MidOne' Zheng put in a great shift alongside him on Outworld Devourer in the second.
We are in the top 6 at the Chongqing Major after a 2-1 over @FNATIC. A showdown against @teamsecret awaits us tomorrow. Fight on!

EHOME take down Fnatic to progress
Next up for Secret will be a battle with EHOME, after the Chinese side took a thrilling series 2-1 to overcome Fnatic.
Li 'ASD' Zhiwen went massive in Game 1 against the SEA side, posting figures of 14/2/10 on Shadow Fiend and ably supported by Luo 'eGo' Bin’s rarely-seen Visage to get off the mark in the series in 40 minutes.
The comeback was almost on but @EHOMECN take the series 2-1. 😞

We drop to the lower bracket and will play @goFORWARDgg or @Team_JStorm.

Game 2 went the way of Anucha 'Jabz' Jirawong’ team, with Pyo 'MP' Noa’s Timbersaw ripping through the EHOME roster to facilitate a rapid 18-minute victory and tie the series.
So, to a decider. The game was similar in length to the first, and was just as one-sided. Picking up Drow Ranger for ASD, it proved to be a stroke of genius as he roared through the Fnatic roster. Finishing on 17 kills — as many as Fnatic managed in total and over 60% of his side’s total — it was the very definition of carrying your team to victory.
Both losers now face a wait to discover their next opponents, with Liquid going up against the winners of Forward Gaming vs J.Storm and Fnatic set to do battle with the victors of TNC Predator and Team Aster.
Do you think Liquid can come back from this loss?
