SsaSpartan is back in Europe to find a new team

posted by Smyke,
The iconic Greek star Giorgos 'SsaSpartan' Giannakopoulos has ended his adventure in the Southeast Asian scene. He is back in Europe to find new opportunities. SsaSpartan was part of Ad Finem's unforgettable run at the The Boston Major where they made it into the Grand Finals. Afterwards the team joined the German organization Ad Finem, but they didn't win any big tournaments nor did they qualify for The International. The team disbanded in December 2017 and SsaSpartan took a break.

His first big comeback was at Clutch Gamers earlier this year where he joined his former teammate Haris 'SkyLark' Zafiriou.

However, the team failed in the qualifier for ESL One Hamburg 2018 and didn't make it to the Major - the competition in Southeast Asia is way to tough right now. Despite winning the first event in a while with his new team, the Greek decided to leave now.

Reunion with the legendary Ad Finem stars?

SsaSpartan also explains that he'll be going back to Europe to play from there. But for which team should he play? He could create a new Greek team to start another miracle run, but except for Dimitrios 'ThuG' Plivouris, all of his former teammates are in new teams right now.

Two of his former mates, Omar 'Madara' Dabachach and Verros 'Maybe Next Time' Apostolos, compete at the Minor in Stockholm under the flag of Vega Squadron (EU) at the moment. However, the results of Vega are not as convincing as some fans had hoped. There might be the possibility that the team decides to replace position five support Peetu-Elmeri 'Peksu' Väätäinen.

Could this be the perfect opportunity for SsaSpartan to reach the top again?
