Game 1 was straightforward, in that Natus Vincere won easily. They cracked Vega Squadron *’s base inside 16 minutes, built a 14k net worth lead and finally closed things out a shade under 41 minutes. Vladislav 'Crystallize' Krystanek was the standout performer, recording figures of 14/0/12 on Faceless Void.
Game 2 was just as comfortable. In amassing a 28k peak lead, Crystallize again went big. Given Faceless Void once more, he recorded figures of 11/1/13 — bringing his total across the two games to 25/1/25. However, he was upstaged by teammate Idan 'MagicaL' Vardanian on Lina, who went an even bigger 18/2/11.
Vega just couldn’t catch a break, so there was always the Hail Mary…. To no avail.
compLexity look strong as Infamous demolished
An absolutely dominant performance from our team closes out the series. GGWP @Infamous_GG #DHDreamLeague

We'll be back tomorrow to play for a spot in the playoffs. See you then! #coLDota pic.twitter.com/0QUsEWGZCp
In the opening series of the day, the North Americans of compLexity Gaming faced little resistance from Infamous. With Enzo 'Timado' Gianoli showing a propensity to farm too much, leading to a rather passive influence on matters, Rolen Andrei Gabriel 'ctm' Ong and Linus 'Limmp' Blomdin took control of the first game. The pair claimed 24 kills between them on Gyrocopter and Lina respectively as their side closed out a 41-minute, +23k win.
Things were pretty similar in Game 2. Despite Infamous claiming the first tower after 13 minutes, the win never really looked in doubt for compLexity. Limmp was even more of a monster on Bloodseeker, going 18/1/14 to force the South Americans into calling GG after 37 minutes.
To round things off for the first half of the day, DreamHack are treating us to some wonderful between-match segments. The trivia quizzes hosted by a giant panda are just…. well, hilarious.
Who do you think was the standout performer in Group A?
