The Chinese region is stacked with Dota 2 talent, qualifying for a Major is more than difficult task. Newbee already made this tough experience. They finished 5th-6th in the qualifier for The Kuala Lumpur Major. Now they're on the search for a new support. Tang 'CatYou' Xiaolei was added to the Newbee roster just a few weeks ago. He was moved from the amateur team Newbee.Young for which Song 'Sccc' Chun made his debut back in 2015 when he started his professional career.




However, it seems like the squad is not satisfied with the performance of the new position four support, according to a Reddit thread. After the disappointing qualifier result, they decided to move CatYou to the second Newbee squad named Mr Game Boy where he'll play alongside Luo 'Ferrari_430' Feichi.



According to the Major registration site, position five support Luo 'Xi' Yinqi was removed from the roster of Mr Game Boy.

It's not clear if Xi will play in the main roster instead of CatYou. The other option for Newbee would be to try out another player for the upcoming Minor qualifier that will start on September 23rd.

Is it the right move to try out a new position four support after one disappointing result?
