It’s been a wild few days. Roster shuffle appears to have gone into overdrive, with departures and moves all over the place. Now, could we be about to see the resurrection of a former Dota 2 superpower? According to Russian caster Vitalii 'V1lat' Volochai, that seems to be the case, with support Ye 'BoBoKa' Zhibiao the first name on a new DK* roster.

It wasn’t a good year overall for Invictus Gaming, with their two Major appearances in 2018 at the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 and Mars Media Dota 2 League: Changsha ending in 9th-12th and 9th-10th finishes respectively, while their efforts at The International 2018 saw them finish bottom of Group A. Their crushing 2-0 tiebreaker loss against Winstrike meant they didn’t even make the Main Event. With IG in need of some major rebuilding, it’s not a surprise that players are rumoured to depart.

The return of the Galacticos

Between 2012 and 2014, DK* established themselves as one of the best Chinese teams in Dota 2. They notably took home the top prize at the 2013 WPC ACE Dota 2 League, G-League 2013 and Starseries IX, and recorded 4th place finishes at both The International 2012 and The International 2014.

As a side formerly known as the ‘Galacticos’ of the Chinese scene, there’s certainly a lot of hype behind rumours of the organisation’s return. If BoBoKa's move is confirmed, then who else could we see at Team DK? Outside of the PSG.LGD roster, who have announced that there will be no changes to their roster, seemingly anyone is possible.

Who would you like to see join Team DK alongside BoBoKa?
