Four organizations remain. There are orgs who could bring growth to the scene both in terms of fan base and investment, especially in North America.

Team SoloMid

TSM! TSM! TSM! - this is something you hear constantly during a lot of NA LoL games, whether involving the team or not. Team SoloMid was the most dominant team in NA for a long time, and the most heavily supported. Established in 2011, it was an organisation solely focused on League of Legends for a long time. However, now they are open to other games such as CS:GO, PUBG, Fortnite and Super Smash Bros.

I know that Dota 2 is the "enemy" of League of Legends fans, but the name would work perfectly for Dota 2 too, since Solo Mid is also a position in our game. TSM is one of the biggest orgs in League of Legends, thanks to legendary players like Bjergsen — they built a legacy in one MOBA, so why not build a legacy in the other one as well?

100 Thieves

The best team in NA so far this year is 100 Thieves, a young esports organization originally founded by former Call of Duty pro Nadeshot. The moved into League of Legends in November 2017 as part of the new NA LCS franchise system. The biggest news about them is the involvement of Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, bringing a multi-million-dollar investment to the organisation.

With this huge partner behind them, 100 Thieves are one of the richest organisations in esports, one which highlights the attraction to esports of traditional sports teams. Having an org on this level as part of the Dota 2 community would certainly be a huge plus.

Unicorns of Love

Another famous League of Legends organisation are the Unicorns of Love. The European squad doesn’t not only stand out because of its name and logo, but also because of their huge fan base. Despite not being one of the best teams in the West, their passionate fans never stop cheering for them in every match of every tournament.

UoL have had some great moments and some good splits, but the boys in pink are more confident in their role of underdog. An emotional organisation such as this could bring some new flavour to the Dota 2 scene.

G2 Esports

Last, but not least, we should talk about G2 Esports — one of the greatest multi-platform organisations in the world. They're up there competing with Team Liquid for the title of best brand in esports. They have the second most dominant European League of Legends team of all time, are one of the most well-known brands in CS:GO, and have strong players in titles such as PUBG and Rocket League.

Until now, G2 Esports founder ocelote hasn’t been interested in acquiring a Dota 2 squad. Maybe this is because he was a League of Legends player himself and doesn’t quite sympathize with Dota 2 yet, but if G2 really wanted to keep up their rivalry with Team Liquid then they have to invest into Dota 2 sooner or later.

What do you think? Which organisations would you like to see in Dota 2?
