It was an important victory for Wind and Rain in the playoffs of the BTS Summer Cup, but they were on the edge of getting knocked down into the Lower Bracket. After losing the first game to WaR, Espada was able to make a successful comeback, although they used Phantom Lancer, Silencer and Pugna again. Bringing in Windranger and Doom seemed to be the perfect solution.
In game three Wind and Rain took charge of PL, Silencer and Pugna themselves - with success. The team around South Korean Offlaner Sang-Don 'FoREv' Lee was able to win the game and qualify for the Winners' Finals.
Can Alliance fight back?
Wind and Rain will face Let's Do It. The Polish team, formerly playing under the Team Kinguin* organization, defeated Alliance with 2:0.
This means that Max 'Qojqva' Broecker and his Swedish teammates will face Igor 'ILTW' Filatov and Co. in the Lower Bracket to decide who still has a chance to gain a spot for DOTA Summit 9. Only one of these teams will make it to Los Angeles at the end of the month.
