The next two teams to make it to the China Dota 2 Supermajor playoff upper bracket are Newbee and TNC Predator, who fought hard after losing their group stage openers. Bloodseeker turned out to be an important hero for both teams today. For Newbee, he was their key to success in a tense Game 3 against Team Spirit which was the upper vs. lower bracket decider. Team Spirit had taken the first win but Newbee had delayed the second game of the series, holding off Spirit's Drow/Visage draft long enough to overcome them in the late game.

Xu 'Moogy' Han's Bloodseeker didn't have a perfect game. However, despite a rocky point in the middle during which Team Spirit turned the tides in their favour, the power of Bloodseeker to counter Slark helped Newbee regain the advantage and finish off Team Spirit 2-1. Moogy finished the game with an 18/4/10 KDA, only slightly behind Song 'Sccc' Chun in terms of kill participation.

For TNC, Armel Paul 'Armel' Tabios's Bloodseeker helped his team to come back in their second game against Evil Geniuses.



The win against EG put TNC in the lower bracket deciding match against Vici Gaming. The Chinese squad seemed oddly underprepared for the matchup, letting TNC have Io in the first game and drafting an extremely low impact first-phase Treant Protector for Lu 'Fenrir' Chao in both games. TNC took two very decisive wins against Vici and secured their spot in the playoff upper bracket.
