DeMoN retires from Dota 2

He played alongside Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung, Clinton 'Fear' Loomis, Clinton 'Fear' Loomis, Rasmus 'rASmus' Fillipsen and many more, but now it's over: Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho has announced retirement in an emotional video. It was quiet around DeMoN for the last couple of months. His last offline challenge was at DOTA Summit 8 in December 2017, where he was standing in for the Peruvian team Sacred*.

He announces retirement and talks about is career peaks

Along with the retirement announcement DeMoN took the chance not just to explain the reasoning for it, but also to talk about the peaks and important moments in his career. A huge accomplishment for him was playing alongside Marc Polo Luis 'Raven' Fausto on TNC Predator at The International 2016.

The Philippines team was in the Lower Bracket and had to play against the favourite team of the tournament - OG. While everybody was expecting the SEA squad to lose the game and OG getting back on track, TNC won both games. It's one of the most iconic TI moments of all time.

Besides this historic win, DeMoN can look back on a succesful career. He started back in the DotA days, when he played alongside legends like Clinton 'Fear' Loomis, Ben 'Merlini' Wu, Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov and Kuro S. 'KuroKy' Takhasomi.

"Classic Jimmy" is a phrase, which was often used by casters back in the days, when he still played for Evil Geniuses. This video by BTS describes it perfectly:

Now, after more than eight years of professional Dota, he's hung up his hat.
