Five out of 12 teams had the home crowd advantage of China, but only one out of these five was able to get a place in the Grand Finals. On the way to the last game of the tournament, PSG.LGD kicked out three Chinese teams with Vici Gaming, Newbee and iG.Vitality - a perfect lower bracket run from the scratch.
Who can win two tournaments in a row?
In the Grand Finals PSG.LGD had to play against Forward Gaming. The North Americans around Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok were able to beat OG, Team Secret and Vici Gaming in the upper bracket to gain a spot for the Grand Finals.
On the one hand, we had the Chinese squad, who won the last Major at EPICENTER XL against Team Liquid and on the other hand the last Minor champion. Only two days before the Major started, VGJ won the GESC E-Series: Bangkok, the last Minor of this year's DPC.
PSG wins without problems
Although the storylines for that match brought some excitement, the game itself was a dominant showing by PSG.LGD: Wang Chun 'Ame' Yu and his squad didn't lose a single game in the Grand Finals - final score: 3:0.

With that said, PSG.LGD surpasses both Liquid and Team Secret in the DPC ranking and is the fourth team to qualify for The International 2018. VGJ.Storm on the other hand is in 9th place, right now, but they broke the roster lock and so they are not eligible for TI8 invites. Only two Majors are left to finalize the TI8 invites.
Who do you think will make it into the top8?
