Survival Guide April 23-29: Going big with EPICENTER and Superqualifiers

posted by Abelle,
We've had a tiny bit of a breather since Starladder | ImbaTV Invitational #5 but it's time for yet another jam-packed week on the Dota Pro Circuit.

Qualifiers for the China Dota 2 Supermajor are already well under way, with some already finished. Europe will wrap up tomorrow, while NA and SEA will follow on the 25th, just in time for the next big event.

The European qualifier is already down to just two teams - The Final Tribe and Team Kinguin*. LeftOneTV have a match left to play against Kinguin, but have already fallen too far behind in the round robin to have a chance at qualifying. Kinguin will also play The Final Tribe, but their current 10 points will be hard to beat.

Southeast Asia and North America have many more matches to play. The former have played one of their three days of round robin matches, while the latter haven't played a single game yet. Check out the coverage page for full match details.

EPICENTER is back this week with the group stage kicking off on Friday the 27th. The breakdown of teams into two groups remains a mystery, but the format was announced a few days ago. The group stage matches will all be best-of-three, but the bottom two teams from each group of six will be eliminated before the main event.

Following the group stage will be a double elimination bracket of best-of-threes, with two rounds of single-game series in the lower bracket and a best-of-five Grand Final. You'll be able to catch it all on EPICENTER's Twitch channels:

EPICENTER Main English Channel
EPICENTER Second English Channel

Most of the GESC E-Series: Bangkok qualifiers are finished, but a couple of matches remain in the Chinese qualifier. Thanks to a 2-0 loss to LGD.Forever Young today, Keen Gaming must fight VGJ.Thunder in the lower bracket final for a chance at a Grand Final rematch - both of which will take place tomorrow.
