The groups have been drawn for DAC 2018, meaning China's first Major can finally begin. Sixteen teams will fight for $1m USD starting on 29 March. The group stage will end on 1 April, with the playoffs then starting after a day's break and ending on 7 April.

The top two teams from each group advance to the playoffs, while the bottom two are eliminated. The 3rd-6th place teams from each group will proceed to the Breakout round, where the winners in this BO3 round advance to the playoffs. From here, the usual double-elimination system takes over.

From 30 March to 1 April the CIS Qualifier for GESC E-Series: Bangkok takes place. Four teams are participating in this qualifier for the event starting on 9 May.
