Vega Squadron are second to fall in Bucharest after loss to Mineski

ru Vega Squadron * put up one hell of a fight against my Mineski in their elimination match, but one tema had to be sent home and today it was Vega.

Both of these teams have looked shaky at this event, though Mineski have arguably had some tougher opponents than Vega in their single-game group stage series. However, they both made an impressive step up for this match.

Vega's strong play this match may have partially come down to their last-pick Broodmother for Evgeniy 'Blizzy' Ree. Despite not having the easiest lane against Anucha 'Jabz' Jirawong's Elder Titan, he helped pull his team out of a slight early deficit to a strong midgame lead.

Despite not keeping up with Mineski in kills, Track gave Vega the lead in net worth and allowed them to take the game late. With Nullifiers on Broodmother and later Queen of Pain, Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung's Gyrocopter had to be extremely careful where and how he took fights. Either he got his Black King Bar off in time and putput a devastating amount of damage or he was nullified, useless and quickly dead.

Mineski turned the game around after the 40 minute mark when some aggressive moves from Vega went wrong and the CIS squad found themselves short of buy back and out of options. Mineski were free to push high ground with plenty of time to spare and finished off Vega.

That's all for elimination matches today. Any teams with a 2-1 record after today will find themselves in the hot seat tomorrow.
