Europe and CIS take up 50% of all slots
DreamLeague Season 9 will be taking place at the end of March and all 8 teams for the Minor are now known. The tournament organisers opted to directly invite
Team Secret and Team Liquid to the LAN Finals, the two Grand Finalists from Season 8. The remaining 6 slots were divided between the six regions, resulting in the same balance as the previous season with CIS and EU taking up 50% of all slots at the event, although Season 9 is a Minor not a Major like Season 8.

The Chinese Regionals wrapped up yesterday, with
Newbee securing a 2-0 win in the Grand Finals over the runners-up at ESL One Katowice Vici Gaming. OG, who didn't qualify for the LAN last season, were winners of the EU Regionals while 
Team Empire made the most of the CIS Regionals which were without both Virtus.pro and 
Natus Vincere. Meanwhile in South America 
paiN Gaming* got revenge on SG e-sports to ensure their participation at the Minor.The two biggest surprises in the Regional Qualifiers were in SEA and more importantly NA.
