Peter 'ppd' Dager's #greenwall is headed to Poland after taking a win in ESL's North America Last Chance Qualifier. 3-2 > Animal Planet - GGs. Katowice and Bucharest Majors coming up for the #GreenWall— Peter Dager (@Peterpandam) January 26, 2018

The qualifier came down to the same two teams who were denied their first chance at Katowice after they were disqualified from the NA Qualifier earlier this year - ca Digital Chaos* and world OpTic Gaming.

When the two teams met in the best-of-five final with a spot in ESL One Katowice 2018 on the line, an out-and-out NA Dota brawl ensued. It seems the two teams were quite evenly matched, though Animal Planet ran out of steam by the final game of the series, losing with 3 kills to OpTic's 14 in a 23-minute game. The rest of the series was much more action-packed as the two teams went blow for blow but, after Animal Planet's victories in games two and three forced a full five-game series, OpTic regained control and closed things out.

These two teams have now faced each other in five qualifier series so far this season, and this was their second best-of-five. The record was an even 2-2 in terms of series wins, but Animal Planet had a slight edge thanks to a 3-0 win in their last best-of-five.

Neither team have won any Qualifying Points yet. OpTic have attended one Pro Circuit event - DOTA Summit 8 thanks to a win in King's Cup: America - and now have two more coming up with ESL One Katowice and The Bucharest Major 2018.

Animal Planet's aforementioned 3-0 qualified them for GESC E-Series: Jakarta, which will be their first Pro Circuit event.
