OG’s path to the Major started in the quarterfinal round thanks to ESL’s format of seeding four stronger teams in the second round of their qualifier’s single elimination bracket. In their first match, they faced former teammate

In the first game of the series OG made very short work of their ex-midlaner thanks to an early power spike allowing them to start taking barracks at just the 18-minute mark.

World fared much better in the 48-minute Game 2 but OG, and especially

Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok, racked up an advantage in the late game and took the series 2-0.

With Team World out of the way, OG had just one more series to win to secure their spot in Katowice. Their final opponent was

Double Dimension*, winners of one of two slots for ESL One Genting 2018, an event which OG were shut out of after a loss to

Gang Squad* in the same qualifier.

Planet Dog played well but OG were on point and took the final series in another 2-0 win. ESL One Katowice will be OG’s first ESL event this Pro Circuit, after missing both Genting and ESL One Hamburg 2017.
