Today's matches comprised of eighteen single-game series, with some teams playing more matches than others. TNC technically lead the field with their three wins and zero losses, but they'll have more matches to play than their fellow three-win teams, OG and EHOME, who are currently 3-1 and 3-2, respectively.
One of the most exciting matches of the day was between PSG.LGD and Natus Vincere. Old school casting duo LD and Winter teamed up to cast the match, which featured amazing discipline under pressure from Na`Vi.
OG fans might be feeling a bit hopeful after their matches today, in which we saw a side of the squad that's largely been missing these last few months. Resolut1on in particular stepped up his game and helped carry his team to their solid Day 1 standing, only losing to Virtus.pro in their four matches.
TNC also put on a brilliant display today. They've been unable to shine very much this season with Mineski winning most of the Southeast Asian qualifiers so far, but given the chance to compete on an international stage, it looks like the team's still got it. Carlo 'Kuku' Palad stood out on Medusa, Tinker and Puck in their three games.
The matches were streamed on a mix of channels. Beyond the Summit's main channel was active all day long, but the secondary stream started on beyondthesummit2 with Xyclopzz casting, then switched to ODPixel's personal stream halfway through the day. Looking for a way to fill the time between matches, ODPixel impressed us with his signature rap-god skills.
