VG's day started with a match against Mineski, a team considered to be a serious threat at this event with multiple strong LAN performances already. The Chinese squad seemed incredibly well-prepared for their opponents and comfortable with their own strategies. In both games, they used Zhi Cheng 'LaNm' Zhang's Slardar to guard the midlane while ensuring Paparazi's farm with Lu 'Fenrir' Chao's hero.

They changed things up when it came to their second opponent, Team Secret. In Game 1, they busted out a new favourite - Elder Titan. LaNm has played him six times since path 7.07 and has lost just one of those games. He supported Paparazi's Terrorblade and Zeng 'Ori' Jiaoyang's Templar Assassin, who quickly took over the game. After six early support kills, Secret only killed those two VG cores once each before the game was over.
For the second game, VG's core Slark had plenty of defensive heroes to back him up. Secret responded to VG's early game focused draft with a last-pick Drow Ranger, but it wasn't enough. VG closed out the second game in just over 24 minutes.
With this early winning streak, Vici Gaming have secured themselves two days off. The Winners Final won't be played until Nov 25, so they'll have plenty of time to prepare for their next opponent, who will be decided in tomorrow's Upper Bracket matches, which starts with LGD.Forever Young vs. Newbee.
