ru Virtus.pro didn't have any DreamLeague Season 8 matches left to play, while OG had a chance to surpass them with two wins. Who would make it to the Major? ua Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin was the decision maker.

DreamLeague Season 8 is the second Major of the year and their classic league format is being used as the European/CIS Qualifierw with spots for four teams to advance to the event in Sweden.

While eu Team Secret, ua Natus Vincere and eu Team Liquid already won their spot for DreamHack Winter 2017 it was a tough battle between VP and eu OG for the last spot. The only problem for Virtus.pro was that all they could do was watch as dk Johan 'BigDaddyN0tail' Sundstein and his mates tried their best to surpass them with wins against Na`Vi and eu MidOrFeed*.

OG fail in their last game



OG started off with a 2:0 win against MoF and won Game 1 against Na`Vi - OG were almost on their way to DreamHack. In the end though, the CIS players around ua Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin put up a strong fight for their CIS brothers in Virtus.pro and won Game 2, blocking OG from the Major.

ua Ilya 'Lil' Ilyuk and his teammates watched the match and showed their tremendous euphoria as Na`Vi secured them the qualification for the Major in Sweden.

That means OG will not participate in the second Major, while Virtus.pro will have a chance to win their second consecutive Major in the new season.
