A classic rivalry gains new fuel with compLexity headed to DOTA Summit 8

posted by Abelle,
us Kyle 'Kyle' Freedman and us Peter 'ppd' Dager will spend a few days in December together at the Summit house in LA now that both of their teams have qualified for DOTA Summit 8. The curse has been lifted!Over 3 years in the making, but #coLDota has finally qualified for #DotaSummit8, as we take down @Immortals 3-1! pic.twitter.com/qKaphbnqpf— compLexity Gaming (@compLexityLive) November 17, 2017

The curse coL's referring to here is the fact that this organization has competed in every single Summit qualifier since The Summit 2 (which took place two months after the team formed in 2014) but they've never once made it to the LAN event. This qualification has been a long time coming, indeed.

CoL certainly chose the right Summit to make it to since this is the first one to feature Qualifying Points. The squad's status as one of the best teams in NA right now is becoming more and more secure with each qualifier victory. This marks the fourth Minor that the squad will attend and they've already put themselves on the board thanks to the their 3rd/4th place finish at Starladder | i-League Invitational #3.

DOTA Summit 8 takes place Dec 13-17 at the Summit house in LA, and as always you can get all the up-to-date info from format to to schedule and more right here on our coverage page.
