ru Vladimir 'Chappie' Kuzmenko recently left ru Team Empire in search of a new team. Now, he's found a place outside his home region: Chappie will be the new carry for world Clutch Gamers in Southeast Asia. Welcome Chappie ! all the way from russia. Thank you Team Empire. Show some love to our new carry. pic.twitter.com/dvT45fKcri— Clutch Gamers (@TeamClutchGamer) November 16, 2017

Chappie is still a very new player, though he's already had some success with Team Empire (despite missing TI7 due to visa woes.) So far, he's only played with CIS teams which means the young Russian player will be in for equal parts culture shock and valuable experiences with his new squad.

This isn't the first time a CIS player has transferred to a Southeast Asian team. Most recently and notably, ua Andrey 'Mag' Chipenko left ru Vega Squadron * to join my Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung's my Mineski. In that case, he only lasted a few months before returning to the CIS in the post-TI7 shuffle.

Clutch Gamers made a name for themselves early in the year with a few qualifier victories leading to LAN appearances, but they've had a lack of strong results in the new season. Their best result so far was the ESL One Hamburg 2017 SEA Qualifier, where they made it to the Grand Final but lost to ph HappyFeet 2-0.

It's unclear how the CG roster will be arranged besides Chappie taking the carry role. The squad recently announced via Facebook that offlaner ph Jun 'Bokerino' Kanehara had been dropped, so their current carry ca Jio 'Jeyo' Madayag will likely switch roles.
