The Regional Final Americas format was quite short, with just four teams competing in the event's single elimination bracket. OpTic started the event with a best-of-three against us Leviathan, who very recently started playing with new midlaner al Ylli 'Garter' Ramadani. It seems they may have still been working out the kinks because they put up a good fight but OpTic took the win 2-0.

Next up was the best-of-five Grand Final between us Digital Chaos* and OpTic. DC recently changed midlaners too, swapping ph Abed 'Abed' Yusop for de Max 'Qojqva' Broecker.

The two squads were a bit more evenly matched, but OpTic still made relatively short work of DC with a 3-0 victory in the match. The third game even saw the return of us Peter 'ppd' Dager's signature Treant Protector, which he hasn't played in an offical match since June 2016, in a TI6 Open Qualifier game.
