StarLadder released a short profile video for each team attending the first Minor of the competitive season and it's fascinating to see the wide range of goals and personalities present.
Vici Gaming
Judging by their profile, Vici Gaming didn't have any delusions of grandeur going into this event. They're a new roster with some inexperienced players and they knew their main goal at this event was to gain valuable experience. The profile also gives a nice look into the personalities of each member, something we don't often get for Chinese teams as Western fans.
compLexity
Kyle 'Kyle' Freedman's confidence shines through as always in the compLexity Gaming team profile. Which one of their two group Halloween costume ideas do you think they should go with?
Na`Vi
Natus Vincere's profile is mainly Viktor 'GeneRaL' Nigrini discussing how Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich helps the team as coach, which largely sounds like managing disputes and providing some strategic input. There's also a few great gif-worthy moments of Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin, because what Na`Vi video is complete without such things.
Team Secret
Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov starts out by saying he wants to mainly focus on Majors and not worry too much about Minors, but goes on to say he wants to win StarLadder. You've gotta keep your enemies guessing! Bonus: Puppey straight-faced riding a Merry-go-round. Why not.
SG e-sports
SG e-sports are complete unknowns to most of the Dota 2 community and they know it. This is one of the shortest profiles, but it's nice to get some perspective from a team that's currently tearing up the South American scene.
Mineski
Anucha 'Jabz' Jirawong may not have the best spoken English of all the members of Mineski, but that means that hearing his perspective is a relatively new thing for Western fans. We've heard from Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung and Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang plenty of times, so it's refreshing to hear from their teammates now and again.
Newbee
Damien 'kpii' Chok speaks for his teammates on Newbee. He seems confident that the squad learned from their mistakes at TI7 but, after seeing how quickly they were eliminated from this event, it seems that they still have much to learn.
Team Liquid
What else would be expect from the TI7 champions but full confidence? Lasse 'Matumbaman' Urpalainen has it in spades, saying his team doesn't have specific goals for the season... other than the small business of winning another TI.
