Navi are heading to their first Minor after seeing out what proved to be a tough match against Team Spirit. Dendi went all out in game 2 to help Navi comeback from what looked like a lost game.

The new roster of ua Natus Vincere will be heading to the Starladder i-League Season 3, the first $300,000 Minor of the season following victory over ru Team Spirit last night in the CIS Regional Finals. It was quite a victory as well and was an opportunity for Na'Vi's new carry ua Vladislav 'Crystallize' Krystanek to shine, which he did.

Phobos' Broodmother forces ultimates but Na'Vi contain her
ua Olexandr 'DkPhobos' Kucherya's Broodmother was swarming over Na'Vi in the early portion of the game, so much so that ru Akbar 'SoNNeikO' Butaev was forced to use Disruptor's Kinetic Field and his ultimate Static Storm multiple times in the first 25 minutes of the game just to stop the continious push from the Spiderlings.

The decisive fight came at 28 minutes when Na'Vi managed to hold on in a fight where Spirit had just acquired the Aegis, and waited out Iceberg's Brewmaster split to then take him down and chase after his team-mates. The additional vision from the ua Viktor 'GeneRaL' Nigrini Nightstalker Aghanim Sceptre upgrade played its role in turning it into a favourable fight and Na'Vi secured Roshan directly after the engagement.

From then it was just a case of piling on the pressure, with Rodjer's Chen proving to be a real problem for Team Spirit to hold off. It took Na'Vi a good 15 minutes to finish off Team Spirit but the game never really looked in doubt.

G1: Rodjer makes the most of Chen by controlling TWO Black Dragons
Rodjer's two Black Dragons were excellent split pushers
They had been pushed into a corner dealing with Phobos' Broodmother but were now in control.

New Na'Vi addition ru Vladimir 'RodjER' Nikogosyan on Chen managed to acquire two Black Dragons from the ancient camp and keep them alive, making him a formidable split pusher with Dendi pushing the other side on Mirana. Ancients can only be taken control of by Holy Persuasion if Chen owns an Aghanim Sceptre.

The Ancient Black Dragons were ideal for split pushing because of their passive Splash Damage attack (similar to Jakiro) plus their Fireball ability which deals 85 damage per second in a 300 radius, and is stackable with two Black Dragons.

What is more the passive Dragonhide Aura can be stacked, meaning Rodjer was boosting nearby allied units' armour by 6. Rodjer was able to keep the Black Dragons alive by casting Test of Faith on himself, which teleports all creeps under his control to his location after a short delay.

Game 2: Dendi deals ridiculous damage in 66 minute victory
Game 2 was Team Spirit's for the taking with ru Igor 'ILTW' Filatov's Sven becoming a handful for Na'Vi. It was quite a hectic game which ended with Na'Vi winning despite just having one set of rax left standing, and could have gone either way by the end. Na'Vi were far behind but credit to their new roster who decided to stick it out and pulled through to secure a 2-0 win and a place at the Starladder i-League Season 3 LAN Finals in Kiev.

Dendi had a cracking game 2 in which he he dealt over 94K damage as Zeus

Team Spirit made the most of the hero of the moment Necrophos but the big damage dealer was Dendi, who dished out a remarkable 94,000 damage in the 66 minute game. Dendi was playing a Zeus with Aghanim's Sceptre, Refresher Orb and an Octarine Core, and suffered only four deaths in the entire game despite the hero usually being considered squishy. Na'Vi's new carry ua Vladislav 'Crystallize' Krystanek did well on Phantom Lancer and by the later stages of the game had ILTW's Sven against the ropes.

Overall a brilliant victory for Na'Vi who have started the new season well and will now have a LAN to attend right on their doorstep. For more information on the Starladder i-League Season 3 head to our Coverage Page.
