After a successful first season of their ladder, with 600 teams signing up to play, more than a thousand scrims taking place during the final week alone and peaking at over 250 scrims a day, the 16 best teams have been contacted to participate in the end-of-season tournament, with the 17-20th placed teams being in reserve if someone can not attend. DotaBro has also announced that they will not be resetting the ratings for Season 2 of their ladder, as they want to ensure that teams will continue to find good quality scrims straight off the bat when the new season starts off.
Among the teams who fought their way to the top of the rankings we find some familiar faces, including
XX5,
eL'Pride,
iCCup and
Imaginary Gaming. We also get to see the return of
Petr 'craNich' Meluzin, the former captain of
Storm Games Clan, who with his new team
ProfesoriStrelDoHlavy managed to reach the top of the ladder rankings for Season 1. There are of course also a number of new teams who've earned a shot at the money involved through good old fashioned ladder performances. The full rosters of participating teams can be found linked at the bottom of this article. The tournament will kick off on January 8th at 18:00 CET, with semi-finals to be played on January 9th, also from 18:00 CET onwards. The tournament follows a best-of-one single elimination format, with a best-of-three final.
