The packed September and October calendar for Dota 2 is starting to take shape with PGL's announcement that their Minor will take place in Bucharest Oct 19-22 with qualifiers in September. The dates of the PGL Minor, now revealed to be called the PGL Open: Bucharest, were already known thanks to Cyborgmatt's tweet of the list of 11 Majors and Minors set for this year. What we didn't know were qualifier dates and team details.

The Qualifiers
As with every Major and Minor, the PGL Open: Bucharest will have one qualifier for each of the six regions: North America, South America, Europe, CIS, China and Southeast Asia.

According to PGL's website, the Open qualifiers will be held starting as early as September 9 in some regions with the latest date set for September 14 in North America. The date for Chinese Open qualifiers remains TBA, as do the dates (and teams) for the closed qualifiers.

The Teams
PGL's direct invites are cn PSG.LGD and us Evil Geniuses. While neither team made it to the TI7 Grand Final this year, they're both did well and certainly invite material (as long as LGD's roster remains largely unchanged).

Evil Geniuses came 9th-12th at TI7 but are a solid choice for a Western invite as they've already announced that they're keeping 4/5 of their roster and even with a new player they'll likely still be the best team in North America.

LGD came 4th at TI after a very impressive lower bracket run in which they lost to eventual champions Team Liquid. Given TI7 results, they're one of the Top 3 Chinese squads and an obvious choice for an Eastern direct invite.
