Navi release Biver and captain Pajkatt

Navi have released two of their foreign players ahead of the new season, after the squad failed to qualify for The International 7 for the first time in their history.

After experimenting with se Per Anders 'Pajkatt' Olsson L. captaining the Navi team for the last 8 months, the organisation have decided to part ways with the Swede as well as dk Malthe 'Biver' Winther. According to the official announcement the team's results were not up to scratch.

"The past year saw the team struggling to find common ground on some of their game-related problems, which resulted in them being unable to qualify for The International 2017 and several other events," said Navi on their website.

Navi recently announced that XBOCT will be coaching the team moving forward, and with the departure of Pajkatt and Biver it means Navi are now without a captain, a carry and a support. Under Pajkatt Navi attended two LANs, placing top 10 at EPICENTER2017 and top 6 at the Dota Summit 7, but did not manage to reach the Kiev Major or TI7.

Na`Vi Dota 2 Team Manager, ua Igor “caff” Sydorenko's statement:
"Despite all the efforts that had been made we couldn’t achieve teamwork at the necessary level. That’s why today Biver and Pajkatt leave our team. Per and Malthe are great people and players. It was a pleasure to work with them both online and at the bootcamps. I hope the experience we’ve acquired over the past 6 months will be useful. I am very sorry to part our ways, but I believe that the guys will achieve whatever they want in the future".

Navi's Dota 2 roster:
ua Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin
ua Viktor 'GeneRaL' Nigrini
ru Akbar 'SoNNeikO' Butaev

Coach: ua Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich
