XBOCT returns to Na`Vi... as a coach

posted by Abelle,
It's almost like old times, but this time XBOCT's return to Na`Vi will be in a supporting role, as a coach and not a player. We know you waited this for soooo long and we are ready! Welcome our new Dota 2 coach - @JustXBOCT! https://t.co/mbLo9WDr3y#dota2 pic.twitter.com/WaNq1J40v8— Natus Vincere (@natusvincere) July 30, 2017

It's been almost two years since ua Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich left ua Natus Vincere after five years spent on their roster, so for Dota 2 fans that have been around for a few years, the name XBOCT is still almost as synonymous with Na`Vi as Dendi's.

Now, after a couple years of trying his luck with a few different CIS squads and making appearances on several Russian caster and analyst desks at various events, XBOCT has returned to his long-time organization to try and help coach the squad out of their current situation.

TI7 will be the first International that Na`Vi have missed in the team's history. Valve introduced the CIS qualifier just in time for The Kiev Major, at which Na`Vi would have been a big crowd favourite, but the results just haven't been there for the squad.

Na`Vi haven't announced any roster changes since failing to qualify for TI7, though a recent video interview with the organization's CEO hints that they are currently trying out players with the intention of announcing a new roster in time. The statement alongside the XBOCT announcement makes no reference to any plans for the current Na`Vi roster.

Na`Vi's roster is:
se Per Anders 'Pajkatt' Olsson L.
ua Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin
ua Viktor 'GeneRaL' Nigrini
ru Akbar 'SoNNeikO' Butaev
dk Malthe 'Biver' Winther
