Invictus Gaming are fresh off a run at this past weekend's The Manila Masters, and are also due to compete in EPICENTER: Moscow Season 2, which kicks off next Sunday, June 4th. An appearance in ZOTAC would have meant potentially playing a Grand Final in Taipei on June 3rd, then having to travel to Moscow to compete the next day.
iG.Vitality will be taking their place, and despite having competed in The Kiev Major, they were unable to qualify for any other LANs in these busy few weeks, so their schedule is completely open for ZOTAC. They were the second place team in the ZOTAC Chinese qualifier, losing 3-1 to iG.
The Zotac Cup Masters gets underway with Group Stage matches beginning tomorrow, May 30th. The group stage will take place over two days, followed by a short playoff bracket June 1-3.
