According to a post on weibo from iceice and several tweets from members of the Dota 2 community, the former Wings Gaming players have received a lifetime ban from ACE, effectively meaning that no Chinese team may sign or train with the five TI6 champions. Holy shit. Just read the Chinese weibo drama. WINGS GAMING players all 5 got a LIFETIME BAN from ACE for #dota2 except for Valve events (..)— Kelly🙎🏻@🇨🇳SLTV🎮 (@kellymilkies) May 17, 2017

Several prominent voices in the Dota community came forward to comment on the situation. It is important to note that none of them have 100% confirmed the situation, and the primary source of the news seems to be a weibo post by cn Li 'iceice' Peng.

When they won TI, ACE took credits :)— Dimitri Vallette (@GodBlessMali) May 17, 2017

While I know a lot about the situation, I still do not know the entirety. So until I find out, let's just say these are developing opinions.— Wykrhm Reddy (@wykrhm) May 17, 2017

Jack "KBBQ" Chen addressed the situation on a larger scale, saying that with ACE currently governing Chinese Dota in the way they currently do, another story like that of Wings Gaming is almost impossible.

The wings situation is a frightening reminder that if things don't change in Chinese dota, there may never be another team like that again— Jack Chen (@KBBQDotA) May 17, 2017

The way things currently are, you won't see five Chinese players just come out of nowhere again. Appreciate it while you can— Jack Chen (@KBBQDotA) May 17, 2017

While the ACE ban would mean that the Wings players would be unable to play in China, the ban does not extend to Valve events, or any event or team outside of ACE's control for that matter, meaning that the former Wings players could technically leave China to play.

With only iceice's post to go on, the exact details of the alleged ban are unknown.
