Mr. Cat Invitational Europe
There have been some recent schedule changes in the Mr. Cat Europe Invitational due to Vega Squadron *’s decision to drop out mid-event. Team Empire were given a defwin in their match and the lower bracket final between Empire and Ninjas in Pyjamas* was rescheduled to Saturday at 13:00 CEST.
It’s not all bad though, the schedule change means we’re getting a playoff double header on Sunday. First up will be Virtus.pro vs the winner of the lower bracket final followed by Team Secret vs ProDotA Gaming*. You can find those matches right here, on joinDOTARed, starting at 14:00 CEST.
DreamLeague EU Division
If you’re a fan of Team Liquid, you’ll want to be glued to DreamLeague Season 7 this weekend. Of the six matches on Friday and Saturday, Liquid are playing in five.
Liquid’s second match on Friday is the most promising. Their opponents are Team Secret, a team they haven’t faced in three months despite both teams competing in The Kiev Major. Their last meeting was in Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017 qualifiers, in a very one-sided 2-0 victory for Liquid. Team Secret have come a long way since then, but considering their recent roster change it’s hard to say how this match will turn out.
Team Secret vs. Team Liquid is scheduled for May 12th at 21:00 CEST, after Liquid’s series against Na`Vi at 18:30 CEST.
Liquid will also play in the first, third and fourth series on May 13th. The broadcast begins at 13:30 CEST.
It doesn’t matter where in the world you are this weekend, EPICENTER: Moscow Season 2 has something for you. Both the Europe/CIS and SEA qualifiers wrap up on Sunday, while the Americas qualifier finishes a day earlier.
Here’s the schedule so far:
19:00 EDT – Team NP vs isGG
22:00 EDT – Thunderbirds vs EliteWolves
15:00 SGT – TNC vs Happy Feet
18:00 SGT – Fnatic vs Mineski
17:00 CEST – Vega Squadron vs Effect
21:00 CEST – Team Secret vs Na`Vi
19:00 EDT – compLexity vs TBD
22:00 EDT – TBD vs TBD
15:00 SGT – Faceless vs Clutch Gamers
18:00 SGT – TBD vs TBD
16:00 CEST – Alliance vs Team Empire
The final two matches for Americas have already been scheduled for 22:00 EDT on Saturday and Sunday but the exact times for the remaining Europe/CIS matches have not been set. Keep an eye on our coverage page where we will update the full schedule details as they become available.
DOTA Summit 7 Qualifiers
Just like EPICENTER, DOTA Summit 7 qualifiers in three regions wrap up this Sunday.
Beyond the Summit are broadcasting two matches per region on May 12th-14th for Europe and Americas.
In Europe, the broadcast begins at 16:00 CEST on Friday and Saturday and 15:00 CEST on Sunday. Similarly, Americas matches begin at 15:00 PDT Friday/Saturday and 14:00 PDT Sunday.
Sunday’s schedules begin slightly earlier to accommodate for the fact that each qualifier Grand Final will be a Best-of-five match. We can’t know which two teams will play in each of those finals yet, but they’re sure to be exciting.
MDL CN/SEA Qualifiers
The MarsMedia Dota 2 League 2017 - Summer Season LAN isn’t until July, but the Chinese and SEA qualifiers have already started (with Europe to follow later). Both regions also finish… (guess when) this Sunday! Talk about a packed schedule.
Both Chinese and Southeast Asian qualifiers feature Best-of-five Grand Finals, but with two slots open through the CN qualifier, the loser of China’s BO5 final will have a second chance to qualify in the BO3 lower bracket final on the following day.
The SEA Grand Final is scheduled for May 14th at 10:00 SGT, and the CN Grand Final will be May 13th at 18:00 CST followed the next day by the lower bracket final on May 14th at 21:00 CST.
After Sunday, nine LAN spots will have been filled, and many teams will be just a little bit further along their road to TI7. Whichever matches you choose to watch, enjoy your weekend!
