Beyond the Summit announce dates for The Summit 7

Another edition of The Summit is headed our way soon with BTS have announcing that The Summit 7 will take place right before TI7 qualifiers. California, here we come! The Summit returns June 14-18 #dota2 pic.twitter.com/rV0AfaRE4A— Beyond the Summit (@BeyondTheSummit) March 31, 2017
No further details have been announced besides the June 14th-18th dates. Since The Summit 6 was also a five day event, it's likely that BTS will keep that event's format, which was a double elimination bracket with best-of-threes throughout (with the exception of a best-of-five final).

Last season's champion was ru Virtus.pro, who had a dominant run through the upper bracket before defeating eu OG 3-0 in the Grand Final. The Summit has not consistently invited the previous champion, but given the fact that VP haven't changed roster and are still looking strong, they'll likely get a spot.

Since Valve usually releases invites for their events within a few days of their open qualifiers, and with TI7 open qualifiers scheduled for June 22 and regionals June 26, teams attending The Summit might have a chance at making a last minute bid for a TI7 invite.
