OG defeat Alliance 2-0, advance to Elimination Mode 3.0 Grand Final

OG had already bested

Alliance 2-0 in the first round, but the Swedes fought back through the lower bracket. They eliminated

Ninjas in Pyjamas* and

Ad Finem for another chance against OG, but they were unable to overcome them.

That's not to say Alliance didn't put up a fight. They held off OG, keeping them from taking too much of a lead in for the first 30 minutes of Game 1, even winning a huge fight around the Rosh pit that completely negated OG's net worth lead.

As always, Elimination Mode brought some very outside the box picks. Ad Finem were the first to try Monkey King, handing OG their only loss so far in the tournament.

compLexity Gaming followed suit on the North American side of the bracket, taking the madness a step farther by also picking up Techies against

Team WanteD* — and winning.

The North American bracket continues tonight starting with the lower bracket match between

Team Freedom* and WanteD at 20:00 CET. OG await the winner of the NA final in the best of five Grand Final, which will take place February 17 at 18:00 CET.
